If I have despised^H3988 the cause^H4941 of my man-servant^H5650 or of my maid-servant,^H519 When they contended^H7379 with me;

A Song of Ascents; of David. Jehovah,^H3068 my heart^H3820 is not haughty,^H1361 nor mine eyes^H5869 lofty;^H7311 Neither do I exercise^H1980 myself in great matters,^H1419 Or in things too wonderful^H6381 for me.

Whoso mocketh^H3932 the poor^H7326 reproacheth^H2778 his Maker;^H6213 [And] he that is glad^H8056 at calamity^H343 shall not be unpunished.^H5352

He that hath pity^H2603 upon the poor^H1800 lendeth^H3867 unto Jehovah,^H3068 And his good deed^H1576 will he pay him again.^H7999

Seest^H7200 thou a man^H376 wise^H2450 in his own conceit?^H5869 There is more hope^H8615 of a fool^H3684 than of him.

and I will give^H5414 them one^H259 heart^H3820 and one^H259 way,^H1870 that they may fear^H3372 me for ever,^H3117 for the good^H2896 of them, and of their children^H1121 after^H310 them:

Therefore^G1223 I^G5124 say^G3004 unto you,^G5213 be^G3309 not^G3361 anxious^G3309 for^G5590 your^G5216 life,^G5590 what^G5101 ye shall eat,^G5315 or^G2532 what^G5101 ye shall drink;^G4095 nor yet^G3366 for^G4983 your^G5216 body,^G4983 what^G5101 ye shall put on.^G1746 Is^G2076 not^G3780 the life^G5590 more^G4119 than the food,^G5160 and^G2532 the body^G4983 than the raiment?^G1742

In^G1722 that^G1565 hour^G5610 came^G4334 the disciples^G3101 unto Jesus,^G2424 saying,^G3004 Who^G5101 then^G687 is^G2076 greatest^G3187 in^G1722 the kingdom^G932 of heaven?^G3772

For^G1063 ye have^G2192 the poor^G4434 always^G3842 with^G3326 you;^G1438 but^G1161 me^G1691 ye have^G2192 not^G3756 always.^G3842

And^G2532 he^G846 lifted up^G1869 his^G846 eyes^G3788 on^G1519 his^G846 disciples,^G3101 and said,^G3004 Blessed^G3107 [are] ye poor:^G4434 for^G3754 yours^G5212 is^G2076 the kingdom^G932 of God.^G2316

And^G1161 there arose also^G2532 a contention^G5379 among^G1722 them,^G846 which^G5101 of them^G846 was^G1511 accounted^G1380 to be^G1511 greatest.^G3187

God forbid.^G1096 We^G2198 who^G3748 died^G599 to sin,^G266 how^G4459 shall we any longer^G2089 live^G2198 therein?^G846

For^G1063 I say,^G3004 through^G1223 the grace^G5485 that was given^G1325 me,^G3427 to every man^G3956 that is^G5607 among^G1722 you,^G5213 not^G3361 to think^G5252 of himself more highly^G5252 than^G3844 he ought^G1163 to think;^G5426 but^G235 so to think as to think^{G5426 G1519} soberly,^G4993 according as^G5613 God^G2316 hath dealt^G3307 to each man^G1538 a measure^G3358 of faith.^G4102

Now^G1161 I beseech^G3870 you,^G5209 brethren,^G80 through^G1223 the name^G3686 of our^G2257 Lord^G2962 Jesus^G2424 Christ,^G5547 that^G2443 ye^G3004 all^G3956 speak^G3004 the same thing^G846 and^G2532 [that] there be^G5600 no^G3361 divisions^G4978 among^G1722 you;^G5213 but^G1161 [that] ye be^G5600 perfected together^G2675 in^G1722 the same^G846 mind^G3563 and^G2532 in^G1722 the same^G846 judgment.^G1106

We^G2249 are fools^G3474 for^G1223 Christ's sake,^G5547 but^G1161 ye^G5210 are wise^G5429 in^G1722 Christ;^G5547 we^G2249 are weak,^G772 but^G1161 ye^G5210 are strong;^G2478 ye^G5210 have glory,^G1741 but^G1161 we^G2249 have dishonor.^G820

^G1161 If^G1487 any man^G5100 thinketh^G1380 that he knoweth^G1492 anything,^G5100 he knoweth^G1097 not^G3762 yet^G3764 as^G2531 he ought^G1163 to know;^G1097

Only^G3440 let your manner of life^G4176 be worthy^G516 of the gospel^G2098 of Christ:^G5547 that,^G2443 whether^G1535 I come^G2064 and^G2532 see^G1492 you^G5209 or^G1535 be absent,^G548 I may hear^G191 of your^G5216 state,^G4012 that^G3754 ye stand fast^G4739 in^G1722 one^G1520 spirit,^G4151 with^G5590 one^G1520 soul^G5590 striving^G4866 for the faith^G4102 of the gospel;^G2098

only,^{G4133 G3739} whereunto^G1519 we have attained,^G5348 by that^G2583 same^G846 [rule]^G2583 let us^{G846 G5426} walk.^G4748

Not^G3756 that^G3754 I speak^G3004 in respect of^G2596 want:^G5304 for^G1063 I^G1473 have learned,^G3129 in^G1722 whatsoever^G3739 state I am,^G1510 therein to be^G1511 content.^G842

Be ye^G5158 free from the love^G866 of money; content^G714 with such things as ye have:^G3918 for^G1063 himself^G846 hath said,^G2046 I will^G447 in no^G3756 wise^G3361 fail^G447 thee,^G4571 neither will I in any^G3756 wise^G3361 forsake^G1459 thee.^G4571

Who^G5101 is wise^G4680 and^G2532 understanding^G1990 among^G1722 you?^G5213 let him show^G1166 by^G1537 his good^G2570 life^G391 his^G846 works^G2041 in^G1722 meekness^G4240 of wisdom.^G4678

neither^G3366 as^G5613 lording it over^G2634 the charge^G2819 allotted to you, but^G235 making^G1096 yourselves ensamples^G5179 to the flock.^G4168

And^G2532 it was given^G1325 unto him^G846 to make^G4160 war^G4171 with^G3326 the saints,^G40 and^G2532 to overcome^G3528 them:^G846 and^G2532 there was given^G1325 to him^G846 authority^G1849 over^G1909 every tribe^G5443 and^G2532 people and^G2532 tongue^G1100 and^G2532 nation.^G1484
