This also shalt thou consider in thine heart: that as a man chastiseth his sonne, euen so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.
Behold, blessed is the man whom God correcteth, therefore refuse not thou the chastening of the almightie:
If thou be faynt in the day of aduersitie, thy strength is small.
But when we are iudged, we are chastened of the Lorde, that we shoulde not be dampned with the worlde.
Wherefore we are not weryed: But though our outwarde man perishe, yet the inwarde man is renued day by day.
And ye haue forgotten the exhortatio, which speaketh vnto you as vnto chyldren: My sonne despise not thou the chastenyng of the Lorde, neither faynt when thou art rebuked of hym:
