Back to passage

And Moyses called all Israel, and sayde vnto them: Heare O Israel the ordinauces and lawes which I speake in your eares this day, that ye may learne them, and fulfill them in deede.

It is not in heauen, that thou needest to say: Who shall go vp for vs to heauen, and bryng it vnto vs, that we may heare it, and do it?

I gaue them my statutes, and shewed them my iudgementes: which whoso doeth, shall lyue in them.

Not euery one, that sayeth vnto me Lorde, Lorde, shall enter into the kyngdome of heauen: but he that doeth the wyll of my father, which is in heauen.

And beholde, a certaine lawyer stoode vp, and tempted him, saying: Maister, what shall I do to inherite eternal lyfe? He sayde vnto hym:

And that by hym, all that beleue, are iustified from all thynges, from which ye coulde not be iustified by the lawe of Moyses.

Because that by the deedes of the lawe, there shall no flesshe be iustified in his syght. For by the lawe, commeth the knowledge of sinne.

For it is one God whiche shall iustifie the circumcision by fayth, and vncircumcision through fayth.

For Moyses writeth, of the ryghteousnesse which is of the lawe, howe that the man which doth those thinges, shall lyue by them.

But that no man is iustified by ye lawe in the sight of God, it is euident. For the iust shall lyue by fayth.

And be ye doers of the worde, and not hearers only, deceauyng your owne selues.

If ye knowe that he is ryghteous, knowe also that euery one whiche doth righteousnes, is borne of hym.
