Who is such a God as thou, that pardonest wickednesse, and forgeuest the offences of the remnaunt of thyne heritage? He kepeth not his wrath for euer: for his delite is to haue compassion.
And when they came, that were hired about the eleuenth houre, they receaued euery man a peny.
And one of the euyll doers whiche were hanged, rayled on hym, saying: If thou be Christe, saue thy self and vs.
Yf I had not come and spoken vnto them, they shoulde haue had no sinne: but nowe haue they nothyng to cloke their sinne withall.
Because the lawe causeth wrath. For where no lawe is, there is no transgression.
For sinne shall not haue power ouer you, because ye are not vnder ye lawe, but vnder grace.
Knowe ye not that the vnrighteous shall not inherite the kingdome of God? Be not deceaued: neither fornicatours, nor idolatours, nor adulterers, nor weaklinges, nor abusers of them selues with mankinde,
Wherfore then serueth the lawe? It was added because of transgressions, tyl the seede came to whom the promise was made: and it was ordayned by Angels in the hande of a mediatour.
And you that were dead in trespasses and sinnes,
For we our selues also were some tyme foolyshe, disobedient, deceaued, seruyng diuers lustes & voluptuousnes, lyuyng in maliciousnesse and enuie, full of hate, hatyng one another.
