And the LORD God said unto the woman, What [is] this [that] thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

¶ And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.

Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard [it].

¶ When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for [he hath] no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.

Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
