¶ And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where [art] thou?

¶ And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here [am] I.

Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

‹Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did› [it] ‹not to one of the least of these, ye did› [it] ‹not to me.›

As soon then as he had said unto them, ‹I am› [he], they went backward, and fell to the ground.

¶ So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, ‹Simon,› [son] ‹of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these?› He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, ‹Feed my lambs.›

And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, ‹Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?›

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in [his] goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

¶ For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.
