And ye shall have on the tenth [day] of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: ye shall not do any work [therein]:
Say to them [that are] of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come [with] vengeance, [even] God [with] a recompence; he will come and save you.
Fear not, thou worm Jacob, [and] ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
¶ And whiles I [was] speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;
In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace [be] unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
Then said Jesus unto them, ‹Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.›
But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, ‹Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:›
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, ‹Fear not; I am the first and the last:›
