¶ The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

¶ Simeon and Levi [are] brethren; instruments of cruelty [are in] their habitations.

O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, [and] the measure of thy covetousness.

¶ Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because [there is] no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
