And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.
Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, did Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, write.
I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
¶ The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, [and] Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
¶ Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month, as I [was] among the captives by the river of Chebar, [that] the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
¶ Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
¶ ‹When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:›
These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and power everlasting. Amen.
And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and [one] sat on the throne.
¶ And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
