If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee [shall be] his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

The LORD [is] longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing [the guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation].

If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.

Job 22:24 TSK

Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the [gold] of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

¶ Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?

Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, [and] hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.

¶ ‹Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:›

‹Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.›

For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
