They say to their mothers, Where [is] corn and wine? when they swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers' bosom.
He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:
‹All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and› [he] ‹to whom the Son will reveal› [him].
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
‹Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.›
Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
¶ ‹I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.›
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and power everlasting. Amen.
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
