Jesus said unto him, ‹Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.›

‹It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.›

‹But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.›

‹Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,›

‹He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear› [them] ‹not, because ye are not of God.›

¶ These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, ‹Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:›

¶ And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

¶ ‹And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.›
