Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day [that] the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who [is] with you in the judgment.
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
¶ Open rebuke [is] better than secret love.
¶ Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
¶ But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble [you], and thereby many be defiled;
