And they lay wait for their [own] blood; they lurk privily for their [own] lives.
¶ A man that doeth violence to the blood of [any] person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.
And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.
And [there] abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.
