(Now the man Moses [was] very meek, above all the men which [were] upon the face of the earth.)

¶ [He that is] soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

¶ [He that is] slow to anger [is] better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

¶ Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:

¶ He that [hath] no rule over his own spirit [is like] a city [that is] broken down, [and] without walls.

Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

¶ Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: [therefore] he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

‹Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.›

¶ Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
