I cry out for help to God Most High, to the God who vindicates me.

Then Nebuchadnezzar approached the door of the furnace of blazing fire. He called out,“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the most high God, come out! Come here!” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego emerged from the fire.

I am delighted to tell you about the signs and wonders that the most high God has done for me.

He was driven from human society, his mind was changed to that of an animal, he lived with the wild donkeys, he was fed grass like oxen, and his body became damp with the dew of the sky, until he came to understand that the most high God rules over human kingdoms, and he appoints over them whomever he wishes.

As he approached the den, he called out to Daniel in a worried voice,“Daniel, servant of the living God, was your God whom you continually serve able to rescue you from the lions?”

With what should I enter the LORD’s presence? With what should I bow before the sovereign God? Should I enter his presence with burnt offerings, with year-old calves?

They cried out,“Son of God, leave us alone! Have you come here to torment us before the time?”

“Leave us alone, Jesus the Nazarene! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are– the Holy One of God!”

When they came they said to him,“Teacher, we know that you are truthful and do not court anyone’s favor, because you show no partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”

to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

Demons also came out of many, crying out,“You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them, and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.

Thus they asked him,“Teacher, we know that you speak and teach correctly, and show no partiality, but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.

Then he brought them outside and asked,“Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

But some itinerant Jewish exorcists tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were possessed by evil spirits, saying,“I sternly warn you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.”

Live as free people, not using your freedom as a pretext for evil, but as God’s slaves.
