Back to passage

I was stone silent; I held back the urge to speak. My frustration grew;

You handed us over like sheep to be eaten; you scattered us among the nations.

Before this I had been like a docile lamb ready to be led to the slaughter. I did not know they were making plans to kill me. “I will lead them off to be slaughtered like lambs, rams, and male goats.”

[But Jesus said,“Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”] Then they threw dice to divide his clothes.
