TSK · Ecclesiastes 2:22

A laborer’s appetite has labored for him, for his hunger has pressed him to work.

Yet when I reflected on everything I had accomplished and on all the effort that I had expended to accomplish it, I concluded:“All these achievements and possessions are ultimately profitless– like chasing the wind! There is nothing gained from them on earth.”

Better is one handful with some rest than two hands full of toil and chasing the wind.

Covetousness The one who loves money will never be satisfied with money, he who loves wealth will never be satisfied with his income. This also is futile.

All of man’s labor is for nothing more than to fill his stomach– yet his appetite is never satisfied!

Give us today our daily bread,

So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.

Exhortation Not to Worry Then Jesus said to his disciples,“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.

Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.

by casting all your cares on him because he cares for you.
