Jacob stayed there that night. Then he sent as a gift to his brother Esau

So the gifts were sent on ahead of him while he spent that night in the camp.

She answered,“Please give me a special present. Since you have given me land in the Negev, now give me springs of water.” So he gave her both upper and lower springs.

Now let this present that your servant has brought to my lord be given to the servants who follow my lord.

But they were so insistent, he became embarrassed. So he said,“Send them out.” They sent the fifty men out and they looked for three days, but could not find Elijah.

Naaman said,“Please accept two talents of silver.” He insisted, and tied up two talents of silver in two bags, along with two suits of clothes. He gave them to two of his servants and they carried them for Gehazi.

What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

as sorrowful, but always rejoicing, as poor, but making many rich, as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content in any circumstance.

For“physical exercise has some value, but godliness is valuable in every way. It holds promise for the present life and for the life to come.”
