This is what the LORD says:“At the time I decide to show my favor, I will respond to you; in the day of deliverance I will help you; I will protect you and make you a covenant mediator for people, to rebuild the land and to reassign the desolate property.

Pay attention and come to me! Listen, so you can live! Then I will make an unconditional covenantal promise to you, just like the reliable covenantal promises I made to David.

“For just as the new heavens and the new earth I am about to make will remain standing before me,” says the LORD,“so your descendants and your name will remain.

“Indeed, a time is coming,” says the LORD,“when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah.

They will be my people, and I will be their God.

They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, in which your fathers lived; they will live in it– they and their children and their grandchildren forever. David my servant will be prince over them forever.

I will no longer hide my face from them, when I pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.”

For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for he does not give the Spirit sparingly.

So Jesus replied,“My teaching is not from me, but from the one who sent me.

I am telling you the things I have seen while with the Father; as for you, practice the things you have heard from the Father!”

You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this person does not belong to him.

how much more glorious will the ministry of the Spirit be?

But now Jesus has obtained a superior ministry, since the covenant that he mediates is also better and is enacted on better promises.
