Jeremiah Complains about His Lot and The Lord Responds I said,“Oh, mother, how I regret that you ever gave birth to me! I am always starting arguments and quarrels with the people of this land. I have not lent money to anyone and I have not borrowed from anyone. Yet all of these people are treating me with contempt.”

א(Alef) The Prophet Speaks: I am the man who has experienced affliction from the rod of his wrath.

Paul’s Perseverance in Ministry Therefore, since we have this ministry, just as God has shown us mercy, we do not become discouraged.

So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up.

Think of him who endured such opposition against himself by sinners, so that you may not grow weary in your souls and give up.
