TSK · John 3:2

Listen to me, you who know what is right, you people who are aware of my law! Don’t be afraid of the insults of men; don’t be discouraged because of their abuse!

When they came they said to him,“Teacher, we know that you are truthful and do not court anyone’s favor, because you show no partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”

So they came to John and said to him,“Rabbi, the one who was with you on the other side of the Jordan River, about whom you testified– see, he is baptizing, and everyone is flocking to him!”

Yet many of the crowd believed in him and said,“Whenever the Christ comes, he won’t perform more miraculous signs than this man did, will he?”

Then some of the Pharisees began to say,“This man is not from God, because he does not observe the Sabbath.” But others said,“How can a man who is a sinner perform such miraculous signs?” Thus there was a division among them.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees called the council together and said,“What are we doing? For this man is performing many miraculous signs.

Nevertheless, even among the rulers many believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they would not confess Jesus to be the Christ, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue.

Jesus’ Burial After this, Joseph of Arimathea, a disciple of Jesus(but secretly, because he feared the Jewish leaders), asked Pilate if he could remove the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission, so he went and took the body away.

“Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man clearly attested to you by God with powerful deeds, wonders, and miraculous signs that God performed among you through him, just as you yourselves know–

with respect to Jesus from Nazareth, that God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with him.
