Moses and Aaron did so, just as the LORD had commanded. He raised the staff and struck the water that was in the Nile right before the eyes of Pharaoh and his servants, and all the water that was in the Nile was turned to blood.

For he spoke, and it came into existence, he issued the decree, and it stood firm.

He opened up a rock and water flowed out; a river ran through dry regions.

The oppressed and the poor look for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched from thirst. I, the LORD, will respond to their prayers; I, the God of Israel, will not abandon them.

They do not thirst as he leads them through dry regions; he makes water flow out of a rock for them; he splits open a rock and water flows out.’

Jesus said to them,“Have faith in God.

Jesus answered her,“If you had known the gift of God and who it is who said to you,‘Give me some water to drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

All these continued together in prayer with one mind, together with the women, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life– water as clear as crystal– pouring out from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
