¶ Book 1(Psalms 1-41) How blessed is the one who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand in the pathway with sinners, or sit in the assembly of scoffers!

How blessed is the one whose helper is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,

No weapon forged to be used against you will succeed; you will refute everyone who tries to accuse you. This is what the LORD will do for his servants– I will vindicate them,” says the LORD.

Under his rule Judah will enjoy safety and Jerusalem will live in security. At that time Jerusalem will be called“The LORD has provided us with justice.”

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.

For no one is declared righteous before him by the works of the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

Is this blessedness then for the circumcision or also for the uncircumcision? For we say,“faith was credited to Abraham as righteousness.”

but also for our sake, to whom it will be credited, those who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

He is the reason you have a relationship with Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, proclaimed the gospel to Abraham ahead of time, saying,“All the nations will be blessed in you.”

Where then is your sense of happiness now? For I testify about you that if it were possible, you would have pulled out your eyes and given them to me!

For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God;

He is the one who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not based on our works but on his own purpose and grace, granted to us in Christ Jesus before time began,
