Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Jesus Comforts website, applications, editor tools, account system, and related services that link to or display this policy. It does not apply to third-party websites, sign-in providers, or services we do not control.
Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Account details such as email address, display name, and authentication identifiers.
- Profile information or messages you choose to submit through support or feedback channels.
- Reading state you intentionally save, including highlights, favorite verses, bookmarks, and continue-reading markers.
- Content you create or upload in the editor, including prompts for image generation and generated images saved to your account area.
Information from sign-in providers
If you sign in using Google, Facebook, or another provider, we may receive basic profile information associated with that sign-in flow, such as your name, email address, and a provider identifier used to authenticate your account.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type, device characteristics, request logs, and timestamps.
- Cookies, local storage, and similar browser-side data needed to keep the service working and secure.
- Operational telemetry related to abuse prevention, debugging, and performance.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and secure the service.
- To authenticate users and provide signed-in features such as saved reading state.
- To generate, store, and serve images or other editor outputs you request.
- To monitor reliability, investigate misuse, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To respond to support requests, legal notices, and data rights requests.
- To improve the service, including search, media delivery, personalization, and moderation workflows.
AI features
When you use AI-powered generation features, your prompt and related generation settings may be sent to third-party model or infrastructure providers strictly to fulfill the request, return the output to you, and operate or secure the feature. We may store prompts, outputs, moderation outcomes, and related metadata for abuse prevention, billing or quota enforcement, support, and service integrity.
Retention
We retain data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain saved user features, investigate abuse, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and preserve backup integrity. Retention periods vary by data type. Some data may remain in backups or security logs for a limited period after deletion or account closure.
Your choices and rights
- You may browse public content without creating an account.
- You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, subject to legal and security exceptions.
- You may disable cookies through browser settings, but some parts of the service may not function correctly.
To request account deletion or another privacy action, use the in-app account deletion flow if available, or email privacy@jesuscomforts.org from the address associated with your account.
Children's privacy
Jesus Comforts is not directed to children under 13, or any higher age where local law requires parental consent for data processing. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can investigate and take action.
International processing
The service may use hosting, storage, authentication, email, and AI infrastructure located in multiple countries. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in jurisdictions different from your own, subject to applicable safeguards and law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted protection against every event.
