How to request deletion
The fastest way to request deletion is through the in-app or site account settings flow. This page also serves as the public deletion instructions page for users who signed in through Facebook, Google, or another connected provider.
Information to include if you contact us
- Your account email address or the email tied to your social sign-in.
- The sign-in method used, such as Facebook, Google, or email login.
- Any other details needed to identify the account safely and avoid deleting the wrong user.
What is deleted
- Account profile data associated with the deleted account.
- Saved highlights, favorite verses, bookmarks, and reading-progress markers linked to that account.
- Stored editor outputs or user-generated images linked to that account, except where retention is required for abuse prevention or legal reasons.
What may be retained
We may retain limited records where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, or backup integrity. Backup or security records may persist for a limited cycle before permanent removal or overwrite.
Processing time
We aim to process verified deletion requests within a reasonable period. Some parts of the request may complete sooner than others depending on the systems involved and whether the request requires manual verification.
