Month of Winds

8 Fewriyee – 9 Mars 30 days 10 saint commemorations

Amshir is the month of winds, when storms sweep the valley and shake the palms. Within it falls the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple, and — most years — the Fast of Nineveh calls the Church to repentance as the Great Lent draws near.

Kept Every Month

Fixed commemorations the Church keeps in every Coptic month

The commemoration of the 29th (Annunciation, Nativity & Resurrection) is not kept in Tubah and Amshir.
