And when the servant^H8334 of the man^H376 of God^H430 was risen^H6965 early,^H7925 and gone forth,^H3318 behold, a host^H2428 with horses^H5483 and chariots^H7393 was round about^H5437 the city.^H5892 And his servant^H5288 said^H559 unto him, Alas,^H162 my master!^H113 how shall we do?^H6213

But a prophet^H5030 of Jehovah^H3068 was there, whose name^H8034 was Oded:^H5752 and he went out^H3318 to meet^H6440 the host^H6635 that came^H935 to Samaria,^H8111 and said^H559 unto them, Behold, because Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of your fathers,^H1 was wroth^H2534 with Judah,^H3063 he hath delivered^H5414 them into your hand,^H3027 and ye have slain^H2026 them in a rage^H2197 which hath reached up^H5060 to heaven.^H8064

Go,^H3212 gather together^H3664 all the Jews^H3064 that are present^H4672 in Shushan,^H7800 and fast^H6684 ye for me, and neither eat^H398 nor drink^H8354 three^H7969 days,^H3117 night^H3915 or day:^H3117 I also and my maidens^H5291 will fast^H6684 in like manner; and so^H3651 will I go^H935 in unto the king,^H4428 which is not according to the law:^H1881 and if I perish,^H6 I perish.^H6

Answer^H6030 me, O Jehovah;^H3068 for thy lovingkindness^H2617 is good:^H2896 According to the multitude^H7230 of thy tender mercies^H7356 turn^H6437 thou unto me.

But thou, O Lord,^H136 art a God^H410 merciful^H7349 and gracious,^H2587 Slow^H750 to anger, and abundant^H7227 in lovingkindness^H2617 and truth.^H571

Our fathers^H1 understood^H7919 not thy wonders^H6381 in Egypt;^H4714 They remembered^H2142 not the multitude^H7230 of thy lovingkindnesses,^H2617 But were rebellious^H4784 at the sea,^H3220 even at the Red^H5488 Sea.^H3220

But there is forgiveness^H5547 with thee, That thou mayest be feared.^H3372

A righteous^H6662 man regardeth^H3045 the life^H5315 of his beast;^H929 But the tender mercies^H7356 of the wicked^H7563 are cruel.^H394

I was wroth^H7107 with my people,^H5971 I profaned^H2490 mine inheritance,^H5159 and gave^H5414 them into thy hand:^H3027 thou didst show^H7760 them no mercy;^H7356 upon the aged^H2205 hast thou very^H3966 heavily^H3513 laid thy yoke.^H5923

For though he cause grief,^H3013 yet will he have compassion^H7355 according to the multitude^H7230 of his lovingkindnesses.^H2617

O Jehovah,^H3068 I have heard^H8085 the report^H8088 of thee, and am afraid:^H3372 O Jehovah,^H3068 revive^H2421 thy work^H6467 in the midst^H7130 of the years;^H8141 In the midst^H7130 of the years^H8141 make it known;^H3045 In wrath^H7267 remember^H2142 mercy.^H7355

But^G1063 I am in a strait^G4912 betwixt^G1537 the two,^G1417 having^G2192 the desire^G1939 to^G1519 depart^G360 and^G2532 be^G1511 with^G4862 Christ;^G5547 for it is^G4183 very far^G3123 better:^G2908
