But if ye shall still^H7489 do wickedly,^H7489 ye shall be consumed,^H5595 both ye and your king.^H4428

It repenteth^H5162 me that I have set up^H4427 Saul^H7586 to be king;^H4428 for he is turned back^H7725 from following^H310 me, and hath not performed^H6965 my commandments.^H1697 And Samuel^H8050 was wroth;^H2734 and he cried^H2199 unto Jehovah^H3068 all night.^H3915

And Samuel^H8050 said^H559 unto Saul,^H7586 I will not return^H7725 with thee; for thou hast rejected^H3988 the word^H1697 of Jehovah,^H3068 and Jehovah^H3068 hath rejected^H3988 thee from being king^H4428 over Israel.^H3478

And Jehovah^H3068 said^H559 unto Samuel,^H8050 How long wilt thou mourn^H56 for Saul,^H7586 seeing I have rejected^H3988 him from being king^H4427 over Israel?^H3478 fill^H4390 thy horn^H7161 with oil,^H8081 and go:^H3212 I will send^H7971 thee to Jesse^H3448 the Beth-lehemite;^H1022 for I have provided^H7200 me a king^H4428 among his sons.^H1121

And Samuel^H8050 said,^H559 Wherefore then dost thou ask^H7592 of me, seeing Jehovah^H3068 is departed^H5493 from thee, and is become thine adversary?^H6145

And the men^H582 of Judah^H3063 came,^H935 and there they anointed^H4886 David^H1732 king^H4428 over the house^H1004 of Judah.^H3063 And they told^H5046 David,^H1732 saying,^H559 The men^H582 of Jabesh-gilead^H3003 were they that buried^H6912 Saul.^H7586

Now therefore thus shalt thou say^H559 unto my servant^H5650 David,^H1732 Thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 I took^H3947 thee from the sheepcote,^H5116 from following^H310 the sheep,^H6629 that thou shouldest be prince^H5057 over my people,^H5971 over Israel;^H3478

And he walked^H3212 in all the sins^H2403 of his father,^H1 which he had done^H6213 before^H6440 him; and his heart^H3824 was not perfect^H8003 with Jehovah^H3068 his God,^H430 as the heart^H3824 of David^H1732 his father.^H1

and Boaz^H1162 begat^H3205 Obed,^H5744 and Obed^H5744 begat^H3205 Jesse;^H3448

Howbeit Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 chose^H977 me out of all the house^H1004 of my father^H1 to be king^H4428 over Israel^H3478 for ever:^H5769 for he hath chosen^H977 Judah^H3063 to be prince;^H5057 and in the house^H1004 of Judah,^H3063 the house^H1004 of my father;^H1 and among the sons^H1121 of my father^H1 he took pleasure^H7521 in me to make me king^H4427 over all Israel;^H3478

He chose^H977 David^H1732 also his servant,^H5650 And took^H3947 him from the sheepfolds:^H4356

then may also my covenant^H1285 be broken^H6565 with David^H1732 my servant,^H5650 that he shall not have a son^H1121 to reign^H4427 upon his throne;^H3678 and with the Levites^H3881 the priests,^H3548 my ministers.^H8334

And I will set up^H6965 one^H259 shepherd^H7462 over them, and he shall feed^H7462 them, even my servant^H5650 David;^H1732 he shall feed^H7462 them, and he shall be their shepherd.^H7462

afterward^H310 shall the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 return,^H7725 and seek^H1245 Jehovah^H3068 their God,^H430 and David^H1732 their king,^H4428 and shall come with fear^H6342 unto Jehovah^H3068 and to his goodness^H2898 in the latter^H319 days.^H3117

who^G3739 found^G2147 favor^G5485 in the sight^G1799 of God,^G2316 and^G2532 asked^G154 to find^G2147 a habitation^G4638 for the God^G2316 of Jacob.^G2384

By faith^G4102 Abel^G6 offered^G4374 unto God^G2316 a more excellent^G4119 sacrifice^G2378 than^G3844 Cain,^G2535 through^G1223 which^G3739 he had witness^G3140 borne to him that he was^G1511 righteous,^G1342 God^G2316 bearing witness^G3140 in respect of^G1909 his^G846 gifts:^G1435 and^G2532 through^G1223 it^G846 he being dead^G599 yet^G2089 speaketh.^G2980
