For they covered^H3680 the face^H5869 of the whole earth,^H776 so that the land^H776 was darkened;^H2821 and they did eat^H398 every herb^H6212 of the land,^H776 and all the fruit^H6529 of the trees^H6086 which the hail^H1259 had left:^H3498 and there remained^H3498 not any green thing,^H3418 either tree^H6086 or herb^H6212 of the field,^H7704 through all the land^H776 of Egypt.^H4714

And he said,^H559 If now I have found^H4672 favor^H2580 in thy sight,^H5869 O Lord,^H136 let the Lord,^H136 I pray thee, go^H3212 in the midst^H7130 of us; for it is a stiffnecked^H7186 people;^H5971 and pardon^H5545 our iniquity^H5771 and our sin,^H2403 and take us for thine inheritance.^H5157

Pardon,^H5545 I pray thee, the iniquity^H5771 of this people^H5971 according unto the greatness^H1433 of thy lovingkindness,^H2617 and according as thou hast forgiven^H5375 this people,^H5971 from Egypt^H4714 even until now.^H2008

Wherefore hidest^H5641 thou thy face,^H6440 And forgettest^H7911 our affliction^H6040 and our oppression?^H3906

These two^H8147 things are befallen^H7122 thee, who shall bemoan^H5110 thee? desolation^H7701 and destruction,^H7667 and the famine^H7458 and the sword;^H2719 how shall I comfort^H5162 thee?

We acknowledge,^H3045 O Jehovah,^H3068 our wickedness,^H7562 and the iniquity^H5771 of our fathers;^H1 for we have sinned^H2398 against thee.

And it came to pass, while they were smiting,^H5221 and I was left,^H7604 that I fell^H5307 upon my face,^H6440 and cried,^H2199 and said,^H559 Ah^H162 Lord^H136 Jehovah!^H136 wilt thou destroy^H7843 all the residue^H7611 of Israel^H3478 in thy pouring out^H8210 of thy wrath^H2534 upon Jerusalem?^H3389

O Lord,^H136 hear;^H8085 O Lord,^H136 forgive;^H5545 O Lord,^H136 hearken^H7181 and do;^H6213 defer^H309 not,^H408 for thine own sake, O my God,^H430 because thy city^H5892 and thy people^H5971 are called^H7121 by thy name.^H8034

For who hath despised^H936 the day^H3117 of small things?^H6996 for these seven shall rejoice,^H8055 and shall see^H7200 the plummet^H68 in the hand^H3027 of Zerubbabel;^H2216 [these]^H7651 [are] the eyes^H5869 of Jehovah,^H3068 which run to and fro^H7751 through the whole earth.^H776

And^G2532 it was said^G4483 unto them^G846 that^G2443 they should^G91 not^G3361 hurt^G91 the grass^G5528 of the earth,^G1093 neither^G3761 any^G3956 green thing,^G5515 neither^G3761 any^G3956 tree,^G1186 but^G1487 only^G3441 such^G3748 men^G444 as have^G2192 not^G3756 the seal^G4973 of God^G2316 on^G1909 their^G846 foreheads.^G3361
