And Pharaoh^H6547 sent,^H7971 and, behold, there was not so much as one^H259 of the cattle^H4735 of the Israelites^H3478 dead.^H4191 But the heart^H3820 of Pharaoh^H6547 was stubborn,^H3513 and he did not let the people^H5971 go.^H7971

Now I know^H3045 that Jehovah^H3068 is greater^H1419 than all gods;^H430 yea, in the thing^H1697 wherein they dealt proudly^H2102 against them.

Notwithstanding, they would not hear,^H8085 but hardened^H7185 their neck,^H6203 like to the neck^H6203 of their fathers,^H1 who believed^H539 not in Jehovah^H3068 their God.^H430

And he also rebelled^H4775 against king^H4428 Nebuchadnezzar,^H5019 who had made him swear^H7650 by God:^H430 but he stiffened^H7185 his neck,^H6203 and hardened^H553 his heart^H3824 against turning^H7725 unto Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel.^H3478

Pour forth^H6327 the overflowings^H5678 of thine anger;^H639 And look upon^H7200 every one that is proud, and abase^H8213 him.

Pride^H1347 [goeth] before^H6440 destruction,^H7667 And a haughty^H1363 spirit^H7307 before^H6440 a fall.^H3783

Come down,^H3381 and sit^H3427 in the dust,^H6083 O virgin^H1330 daughter^H1323 of Babylon;^H894 sit^H3427 on the ground^H776 without a throne,^H3678 O daughter^H1323 of the Chaldeans:^H3778 for thou shalt no more^H3254 be called^H7121 tender^H7390 and delicate.^H6028

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 Behold, I will bring^H935 upon this city^H5892 and upon all its towns^H5892 all the evil^H7451 that I have pronounced^H1696 against it; because they have made their neck^H6203 stiff,^H7185 that they may not hear^H8085 my words.^H1697

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah:^H3068 They also that uphold^H5564 Egypt^H4714 shall fall;^H5307 and the pride^H1347 of her power^H5797 shall come down:^H3381 from the tower^H4024 of Seveneh^H5482 shall they fall^H5307 in it by the sword,^H2719 saith^H5002 the Lord^H136 Jehovah.^H3069

And whereas they commanded^H560 to leave^H7662 the stump^H6136 of the roots^H8330 of the tree;^H363 thy kingdom^H4437 shall be sure^H7011 unto thee, after^H4481 that thou shalt have known^H3046 that the heavens^H8065 do rule.^H7990

The king^H4430 spake^H6032 and said,^H560 Is^H576 not^H3809 this^H1932 great^H7229 Babylon,^H895 which I^H576 have built^H1124 for the royal^H4437 dwelling-place, by the might^H8632 of my power^H2632 and for the glory^H3367 of my majesty?^H1923

He hath showed^G4160 strength^G2904 with^G1722 his^G846 arm;^G1023 He hath scattered^G1287 the proud^G5244 in the imagination^G1271 of^G2588 their^G846 heart.^G2588

but^G235 exhort^G3870 one another^{G1438 G1538} day^G2596 by day,^G2250 so^G891 long^G3739 as it is called^G2564 To-day;^G4594 lest^G3363 any^G5100 one of^G1537 you^G5216 be hardened^G4645 by the deceitfulness^G539 of sin:^G266
