And Jehovah^H3068 passed by^H5674 before him,^H6440 and proclaimed,^H7121 Jehovah,^H3068 Jehovah,^H3068 a God^H410 merciful^H7349 and gracious,^H2587 slow to anger,^H750 and abundant^H7227 in lovingkindness^H2617 and truth;^H571

(for thou shalt worship^H7812 no other^H312 god:^H410 for Jehovah,^H3068 whose name^H8034 is Jealous,^H7067 is a jealous^H7067 God);^H410

Ye shall make^H6213 you no idols,^H457 neither shall ye rear you up^H6965 a graven image,^H6459 or a pillar,^H4676 neither shall ye place^H5414 any figured^H4906 stone^H68 in your land,^H776 to bow down^H7812 unto it: for I am Jehovah^H3068 your God.^H430

And they that are left^H7604 of you shall pine away^H4743 in their iniquity^H5771 in your enemies'^H341 lands;^H776 and also in the iniquities^H5771 of their fathers^H1 shall they pine away^H4743 with them.

And your children^H1121 shall be wanderers^H7462 in the wilderness^H4057 forty^H705 years,^H8141 and shall bear^H5375 your whoredoms,^H2184 until your dead bodies^H6297 be consumed^H8552 in the wilderness.^H4057

For Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 is a devouring^H398 fire,^H784 a jealous^H7067 God.^H430

for Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 in the midst^H7130 of thee is a jealous^H7067 God;^H410 lest the anger^H639 of Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 be kindled^H2734 against thee, and he destroy^H8045 thee from off the face^H6440 of the earth.^H127

They have moved me to jealousy^H7065 with that which is not^H3808 God;^H410 They have provoked me to anger^H3707 with their vanities:^H1892 And I will move them to jealousy^H7065 with those that are not a people;^H5971 I will provoke them to anger^H3707 with a foolish^H5036 nation.^H1471

that ye come^H935 not among these nations,^H1471 these that remain^H7604 among you; neither make mention^H2142 of the name^H8034 of their gods,^H430 nor cause to swear^H7650 [by them], neither serve^H5647 them, nor bow^H7812 down yourselves unto them;

And Joshua^H3091 said^H559 unto the people,^H5971 Ye cannot^H3201 serve^H5647 Jehovah;^H3068 for he is a holy^H6918 God;^H430 he is a jealous^H7072 God;^H430 he will not forgive^H5375 your transgression^H6588 nor your sins.^H2403

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 I have marked^H6485 that which Amalek^H6002 did^H6213 to Israel,^H3478 how he set^H7760 himself against him in the way,^H1870 when he came up^H5927 out of Egypt.^H4714

[Ye say], God^H433 layeth up^H6845 his iniquity^H205 for his children.^H1121 Let him recompense^H7999 it unto himself, that he may know^H3045 it:

Remember^H2142 not against us the iniquities^H5771 of our forefathers:^H7223 Let thy tender mercies^H7356 speedily^H4118 meet^H6923 us; For we are brought^H1809 very^H3966 low.^H1809

Let the iniquity^H5771 of his fathers^H1 be remembered^H2142 with Jehovah;^H3068 And let not the sin^H2403 of his mother^H517 be blotted out.^H4229

But he that sinneth^H2398 against me wrongeth^H2554 his own soul:^H5315 All they that hate^H8130 me love^H157 death.^H4194

Then shall it be for a man^H120 to burn;^H1197 and he taketh^H3947 thereof, and warmeth^H2552 himself; yea, he kindleth^H5400 it, and baketh^H644 bread:^H3899 yea, he maketh^H6466 a god,^H410 and worshippeth^H7812 it; he maketh^H6213 it a graven image,^H6459 and falleth down^H5456 thereto.

Behold, it is written^H3789 before^H6440 me: I will not keep silence,^H2814 but will recompense,^H7999 yea, I will recompense^H7999 into their bosom,^H2436

who showest^H6213 lovingkindness^H2617 unto thousands,^H505 and recompensest^H7999 the iniquity^H5771 of the fathers^H1 into the bosom^H2436 of their children^H1121 after^H310 them; the great,^H1419 the mighty^H1368 God,^H410 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts^H6635 is his name;^H8034

What mean ye, that ye use^H4911 this proverb^H4912 concerning the land^H127 of Israel,^H3478 saying,^H559 The fathers^H1 have eaten^H398 sour grapes,^H1155 and the children's^H1121 teeth^H8127 are set on edge?^H6949

But if^H2006 not,^H3809 be it^H1934 known^H3046 unto thee, O king,^H4430 that we will^H383 not^H3809 serve^H6399 thy gods,^H426 nor^H3809 worship^H5457 the golden^H1722 image^H6755 which thou hast set up.^H6966

and^G2532 he said^G3004 unto him,^G846 All^G3956 these things^G5023 will I give^G1325 thee,^G4671 if^G1437 thou wilt fall down^G4098 and worship^G4352 me.^G3427

The world^G2889 cannot^G3756 hate^G3404 you;^G5209 but^G1161 me^G1691 it^G1473 hateth,^G3404 because^G3754 I^G1473 testify^G3140 of^G4012 it,^G846 that^G3754 its^G846 works^G2041 are^G2076 evil.^G4190

He^G3588 that hateth^G3404 me^G1691 hateth^G3404 my^G3450 Father^G3962 also.^G2532

because^G1360 the mind^G5427 of the flesh^G4561 is enmity^G2189 against^G1519 God;^G2316 for^G1063 it is^G5293 not^G3756 subject^G5293 to the law^G3551 of God,^G2316 neither^G3761 indeed^G1063 can it be:^G1410

Ye ^{G3432 G2532} adulteresses,^G3428 know ye^G1492 not^G3756 that^G3754 the friendship^G5373 of the world^G2889 is^G2076 enmity^G2189 with God?^G2316 Whosoever^{G3739 G302} therefore^G3767 would^G1014 be^G1511 a friend^G5384 of the world^G2889 maketh^G2525 himself an enemy^G2190 of God.^G2316
