ASVs · الأصحاح 52
Z edekiahH6667 was oneH259 and twentyH6242 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reign;H4427 and he reignedH4427 elevenH259 yearsH8141 in Jerusalem:H3389 and his mother'sH517 nameH8034 was HamutalH2537 the daughterH1323 of JeremiahH3414 of Libnah.H3841
And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of Jehovah,H3068 according to all that JehoiakimH3079 had done.H6213
For throughH5921 the angerH639 of JehovahH3068 did it come to pass in JerusalemH3389 and Judah,H3063 until he had cast them outH7993 from his presence.H6440 And ZedekiahH6667 rebelledH4775 against the kingH4428 of Babylon.H894
And it came to pass in the ninthH8671 yearH8141 of his reign,H4427 in the tenthH6224 month,H2320 in the tenthH6218 day of the month,H2320 that NebuchadrezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894 came,H935 he and all his army,H2428 against Jerusalem,H3389 and encampedH2583 against it; and they builtH1129 fortsH1785 against it round about.H5439
SoH935 the cityH5892 was besiegedH4692 unto the eleventhH6249 yearH8141 of kingH4428 Zedekiah.H6667
In the fourthH7243 month,H2320 in the ninthH8672 day of the month,H2320 the famineH7458 was soreH2388 in the city,H5892 so that there was no breadH3899 for the peopleH5971 of the land.H776
Then a breachH1234 was made in the city,H5892 and all the menH582 of warH4421 fled,H1272 and went forthH3318 outH3318 of the cityH5892 by nightH3915 by the wayH1870 of the gateH8179 between the two walls,H2346 which was by the king'sH4428 garden;H1588 (now the ChaldeansH3778 were against the cityH5892 round about;)H5439 and they wentH3212 toward the Arabah.H6160
But the armyH2428 of the ChaldeansH3778 pursuedH7291 afterH310 the king,H4428 and overtookH5381 ZedekiahH6667 in the plainsH6160 of Jericho;H3405 and all his armyH2428 was scatteredH6327 from him.
Then they tookH8610 the king,H4428 and carried him upH5927 unto the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 to RiblahH7247 in the landH776 of Hamath;H2574 and he gaveH1696 judgmentH4941 upon him.
And the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 slewH7819 the sonsH1121 of ZedekiahH6667 before his eyes:H5869 he slewH7819 also all the princesH8269 of JudahH3063 in Riblah.H7247
And he put outH5786 the eyesH5869 of Zedekiah;H6667 and the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 boundH631 him in fetters,H5178 and carriedH935 him to Babylon,H894 and putH5414 him in prisonH1004 till the dayH3117 of his death.H4194
Now in the fifthH2549 month,H2320 in the tenthH6218 day of the month,H2320 which was the nineteenthH6240 yearH8141 of kingH4428 Nebuchadrezzar,H5019 kingH4428 of Babylon,H894 cameH935 NebuzaradanH5018 the captainH7227 of the guard,H2876 who stood before the kingH4428 of Babylon,H894 into Jerusalem:H3389
and he burnedH8313 the houseH1004 of Jehovah,H3068 and the king'sH4428 house;H1004 and all the housesH1004 of Jerusalem,H3389 even every greatH1419 house,H1004 burnedH8313 he with fire.H784
And all the armyH2428 of the Chaldeans,H3778 that were with the captainH7227 of the guard,H2876 brake downH5422 all the wallsH2346 of JerusalemH3389 round about.H5439
Then NebuzaradanH5018 the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 carried away captiveH1540 of the poorestH1803 of the people,H5971 and the residueH3499 of the peopleH5971 that were leftH7604 in the city,H5892 and those that fell away,H5307 that fellH5307 to the kingH4428 of Babylon,H894 and the residueH3499 of the multitude.H527
But NebuzaradanH5018 the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 leftH7604 of the poorestH1803 of the landH776 to be vinedressersH3755 and husbandmen.H3009
And the pillarsH5982 of brassH5178 that were in the houseH1004 of Jehovah,H3068 and the basesH4350 and the brazenH5178 seaH3220 that were in the houseH1004 of Jehovah,H3068 did the ChaldeansH3778 breakH7665 in pieces, and carriedH5375 all the brassH5178 of them to Babylon.H894
The potsH5518 also, and the shovels,H3257 and the snuffers,H4212 and the basins,H4219 and the spoons,H3709 and all the vesselsH3627 of brassH5178 wherewith they ministered,H8334 took they away.H3947
And the cups,H4219 and the firepans,H4289 and the basins,H5592 and the pots,H5518 and the candlesticks,H4501 and the spoons,H3709 and the bowls—thatH4518 which was of gold,H2091 in gold,H2091 and that which was of silver,H3701 in silver,—theH3701 captainH7227 of the guardH2876 tookH3947 away.H3947
The twoH8147 pillars,H5982 the oneH259 sea,H3220 and the twelveH8147 brazenH5178 bullsH1241 that were under the bases,H4350 which kingH4428 SolomonH8010 had madeH6213 for the houseH1004 of Jehovah—theH3068 brassH5178 of all these vesselsH3627 was without weight.H4948
And as for the pillars,H5982 the heightH6967 of the oneH259 pillarH5982 was eighteenH8083 cubits;H520 and a lineH2339 of twelveH8147 cubitsH520 did compassH5437 it; and the thicknessH5672 thereof was fourH702 fingers:H676 it was hollow.H5014
And a capitalH3805 of brassH5178 was upon it; and the heightH6967 of the oneH259 capitalH3805 was fiveH2568 cubits,H520 with networkH7639 and pomegranatesH7416 upon the capitalH3805 round about,H5439 all of brass:H5178 and the secondH8145 pillarH5982 also had like unto these, and pomegranates.H7416
And there were ninetyH8673 and sixH8337 pomegranatesH7416 on the sides;H7307 all the pomegranatesH7416 were a hundredH3967 upon the networkH7639 round about.H5439
And the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 tookH3947 SeraiahH8304 the chiefH7218 priest,H3548 and ZephaniahH6846 the secondH4932 priest,H3548 and the threeH7969 keepersH8104 of the threshold:H5592
and out of the cityH5892 he tookH3947 anH259 officerH5631 that was setH6496 over the menH582 of war;H4421 and sevenH7651 menH582 of them that sawH7200 the king'sH4428 face,H6440 that were foundH4672 in the city;H5892 and the scribeH5608 of the captainH8269 of the host,H6635 who musteredH6633 the peopleH5971 of the land;H776 and threescoreH8346 menH376 of the peopleH5971 of the land,H776 that were foundH4672 in the midstH8432 of the city.H5892
And NebuzaradanH5018 the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 tookH3947 them, and broughtH3212 them to the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 to Riblah.H7247
And the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 smoteH5221 them, and put them to deathH4191 at RiblahH7247 in the landH127 of Hamath.H2574 So JudahH3063 was carried away captiveH1540 out of his land.H776
This is the peopleH5971 whom NebuchadrezzarH5019 carried away captive:H1540 in the seventhH7651 yearH8141 threeH7969 thousandH505 JewsH3064 and threeH7969 and twenty;H6242
in the eighteenthH8083 yearH8141 of NebuchadrezzarH5019 he carried away captiveH1540 from JerusalemH3389 eightH8083 hundredH3967 thirtyH7970 and twoH8147 persons;H5315
in the threeH7969 and twentiethH6242 yearH8141 of NebuchadrezzarH5019 NebuzaradanH5018 the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 carried away captiveH1540 of the JewsH3064 sevenH7651 hundredH3967 fortyH705 and fiveH2568 persons:H5315 all the personsH5315 were fourH702 thousandH505 and sixH8337 hundred.H3967
And it came to pass in the sevenH7651 and thirtiethH7970 yearH8141 of the captivityH1546 of JehoiachinH3078 kingH4428 of Judah,H3063 in the twelfthH8147 month,H2320 in the fiveH2568 and twentiethH6242 day of the month,H2320 that Evil-merodachH192 kingH4428 of Babylon,H894 in the [first] yearH8141 of his reign,H4438 lifted upH5375 the headH7218 of JehoiachinH3078 kingH4428 of Judah,H3063 and brought him forthH3318 out of prison;H1004
and he spakeH1696 kindlyH2896 to him, and setH5414 his throneH3678 aboveH4605 the throneH3678 of the kingsH4428 that were with him in Babylon,H894
and changedH8138 his prisonH3608 garments.H899 And [Jehoiachin] did eatH398 breadH3899 beforeH6440 him continuallyH8548 all the daysH3117 of his life:H2416
and for his allowance,H737 there was a continualH8548 allowanceH737 givenH5414 him by the kingH4428 of Babylon,H894 everyH3117 dayH3117 a portionH1697 until the dayH3117 of his death,H4194 all the daysH3117 of his life.H2416
