M oreover ElihuH453 answeredH6030 and said,H559

HearH8085 my words,H4405 ye wiseH2450 men; And give earH238 unto me, ye that have knowledge.H3045

For the earH241 triethH974 words,H4405 As the palateH2441 tastethH2938 food.H398

Let us chooseH977 for us that which is right:H4941 Let us knowH3045 among ourselves what is good.H2896

For JobH347 hath said,H559 I am righteous,H6663 And GodH410 hath taken awayH5493 my right:H4941

Notwithstanding my rightH4941 I am [accounted] a liar;H3576 My woundH2671 is incurable,H605 [though I am] without transgression.H6588

What manH1397 is like Job,H347 Who drinketh upH8354 scoffingH3933 like water,H4325

Who goethH732 in companyH2274 with the workersH6466 of iniquity,H205 And walkethH3212 with wickedH7562 men?H582

For he hath said,H559 It profitethH5532 a manH1397 nothing That he should delightH7521 himself with God.H430

Therefore hearkenH8085 unto me, ye menH582 of understanding:H3824 Far be itH2486 from God,H410 that he should do wickedness,H7562 And from the Almighty,H7706 that he should commit iniquity.H5766

For the workH6467 of a manH120 will he renderH7999 unto him, And cause every manH376 to findH4672 according to his ways.H734

Yea, of a surety,H551 GodH410 will not do wickedly,H7561 Neither will the AlmightyH7706 pervertH5791 justice.H4941

Who gave him a chargeH6485 over the earth?H776 Or who hath disposedH7760 the whole world?H8398

If he setH7760 his heartH3820 upon himself, [If] he gatherH622 unto himself his spiritH7307 and his breath;H5397

All fleshH1320 shall perishH1478 together,H3162 And manH120 shall turn againH7725 unto dust.H6083

If now [thou hast] understanding,H998 hearH8085 this: HearkenH238 to the voiceH6963 of my words.H4405

Shall even one that hatethH8130 justiceH4941 govern?H2280 And wilt thou condemnH7561 him that is righteousH6662 [and] mighty?—H3524

[Him] that saithH559 to a king,H4428 [Thou art] vile,H7563 [Or] to nobles,H5081 [Ye are] wicked;H1100

That respectethH5375 not the personsH6440 of princes,H8269 Nor regardethH5234 the richH7771 more thanH6440 the poor;H1800 For they all are the workH4639 of his hands.H3027

In a momentH7281 they die,H4191 even at midnight;H2676 The peopleH5971 are shakenH1607 and pass away,H5674 And the mightyH47 are taken awayH5674 without hand.H3027

For his eyesH5869 are upon the waysH1870 of a man,H376 And he seethH7200 all his goings.H6806

There is no darkness,H2822 nor thick gloom,H6757 Where the workersH6466 of iniquityH205 may hideH5641 themselves.

For he needeth not furtherH7760 to consider a man,H376 That he should goH1980 before GodH410 in judgment.H4941

He breaketh in piecesH7489 mighty menH3524 [in ways] past findingH2714 out, And settethH5975 othersH312 in their stead.

Therefore he taketh knowledgeH5234 of their works;H4566 And he overturnethH2015 them in the night,H3915 so that they are destroyed.H1792

He strikethH5606 them asH8478 wicked menH7563 In the openH4725 sightH7200 of others;

Because they turned asideH5493 from following him,H310 And would not have regardH7919 in any of his ways:H1870

So that they caused the cryH6818 of the poorH1800 to comeH935 unto him, And he heardH8085 the cryH6818 of the afflicted.H6041

When he giveth quietness,H8252 who then can condemn?H7561 And when he hidethH5641 his face,H6440 who then can beholdH7789 him? Alike whether [it be done] unto a nation,H1471 or unto aH3162 man:H120

That the godlessH120 man reignH4427 not, That there be none to ensnareH4170 the people.H5971

For hath any saidH559 unto God,H410 I have borneH5375 [chastisement], I will not offendH2254 [any more]:

That which I seeH2372 notH1107 teachH3384 thou me: If I have doneH6466 iniquity,H5766 I will doH3254 it no more?

Shall his recompenseH7999 be as thou wilt, that thou refusestH3588 it? For thou must choose,H977 and not I: Therefore speakH1696 what thou knowest.H3045

MenH582 of understandingH3824 will sayH559 unto me, Yea, every wiseH2450 manH1397 that hearethH8085 me:

JobH347 speakethH1696 without knowledge,H1847 And his wordsH1697 are without wisdom.H7919

WouldH15 that JobH347 were triedH974 unto the end,H5331 Because of his answeringH8666 like wickedH205 men.H582

For he addethH3254 rebellionH6588 unto his sin;H2403 He clappethH5606 his hands among us, And multipliethH7235 his wordsH561 against God.H410
