K nowestH3045 thou the timeH6256 when the wild goatsH3277 of the rockH5553 bring forth?H3205 [Or] canst thou markH8104 when the hindsH355 do calve?H2342

Canst thou numberH5608 the monthsH3391 that they fulfil?H4390 Or knowestH3045 thou the timeH6256 when they bring forth?H3205

They bowH3766 themselves, they bring forthH6398 their young,H3206 They cast outH7971 their pains.H2256

Their young onesH1121 become strong,H2492 they grow upH7235 in the open field;H1250 They go forth,H3318 and returnH7725 not again.

Who hath sent outH7971 the wild assH6501 free?H2670 Or who hath loosedH6605 the bondsH4147 of the swift ass,H6171

Whose homeH1004 I have madeH7760 the wilderness,H6160 And the saltH4420 land his dwelling-place?H4908

He scornethH7832 the tumultH1995 of the city,H7151 Neither hearethH8085 he the shoutingsH8663 of the driver.H5065

The rangeH3491 of the mountainsH2022 is his pasture,H4829 And he searchethH1875 afterH310 every green thing.H3387

Will the wild-oxH7214 be contentH14 to serveH5647 thee? Or will he abideH3885 by thy crib?H18

Canst thou bindH7194 the wild-oxH7214 with his bandH5688 in the furrow?H8525 Or will he harrowH7702 the valleysH6010 afterH310 thee?

Wilt thou trustH982 him, because his strengthH3581 is great?H7227 Or wilt thou leaveH5800 to him thy labor?H3018

Wilt thou confideH539 in him, that he will bring homeH7725 thy seed,H2233 And gatherH622 [the grain] of thy threshing-floor?H1637

The wingsH3671 of the ostrichH5965 wave proudly;H7443 [But] are they the pinionsH84 and plumageH2624 of love?H5133

For she leavethH5800 her eggsH1000 on the earth,H776 And warmethH2552 them in the dust,H6083

And forgettethH7911 that the footH7272 may crushH2115 them, Or that the wildH7704 beastH2416 may trampleH1758 them.

She dealeth hardlyH7188 with her young ones,H1121 as if they were notH3808 hers: Though her laborH3018 be in vain,H7385 [she is] without fear;H6343

Because GodH433 hath deprivedH5382 her of wisdom,H2451 Neither hath he impartedH2505 to her understanding.H998

What timeH6256 she lifteth upH4754 herself on high,H4791 She scornethH7832 the horseH5483 and his rider.H7392

Hast thou givenH5414 the horseH5483 [his] might?H1369 Hast thou clothedH3847 his neckH6677 with the quivering mane?H7483

Hast thou made him to leapH7493 as a locust?H697 The gloryH1935 of his snortingH5170 is terrible.H367

He pawethH2658 in the valley,H6010 and rejoicethH7797 in his strength:H3581 He goeth outH3318 to meetH7125 the armed men.H5402

He mockethH7832 at fear,H6343 and is not dismayed;H2865 Neither turneth he backH7725 fromH6440 the sword.H2719

The quiverH827 rattlethH7439 against him, The flashingH3851 spearH2595 and the javelin.H3591

He swallowethH1572 the groundH776 with fiercenessH7494 and rage;H7267 Neither believethH539 he that it is the voiceH6963 of the trumpet.H7782

As oft as the trumpetH7782 [soundeth]H1767 he saith,H559 Aha!H1889 H1889 And he smellethH7306 the battleH4421 afar off,H7350 The thunderH7482 of the captains,H8269 and the shouting.H8643

Is it by thy wisdomH998 that the hawkH5322 soareth,H82 (And) stretchethH6566 her wingsH3671 toward the south?H8486

Is it at thy commandH6310 that the eagleH5404 mounteth up,H1361 And makethH7311 her nestH7064 on high?H7311

On the cliffH5553 she dwelleth,H7931 and maketh her home,H3885 Upon the pointH5553 of the cliff,H8127 and the stronghold.H4686

From thence she spiethH2658 out the prey;H400 Her eyesH5869 beholdH5027 it afar off.H7350

Her young onesH667 also suck upH5966 blood:H1818 And where the slainH2491 are, there is she.H1931
