ASVs · الأصحاح 40
M oreover the JehovahH3068 answeredH6030 Job,H347 and said,H559
Shall he that cavillethH3250 contendH7378 with the AlmightyH7706? He that arguethH3198 with God, let him answerH6030 it.
Then JobH347 answeredH6030 the Jehovah,H3068 and said,H559
Behold, I am of small account;H7043 What shall I answerH7725 thee? I layH7760 my handH3027 uponH3926 my mouth.H6310
OnceH259 have I spokenH1696 H8765, and I will not answer:H6030 Yea, twice;H8147 but I will proceed no further.H3254
Then JehovahH3068 answeredH6030 JobH347 out of the whirlwind,H5591 and said,H559
Gird upH247 thy loinsH2504 now like a man:H1397 I will demandH7592 of thee, and declareH3045 thou unto me.
Wilt thou even annulH6565 my judgmentH4941? Wilt thou condemnH7561 me, that thou mayest be justifiedH6663?
Or hast thou an armH2220 like GodH410? or canst thou thunderH7481 with a voiceH6963 like him?
DeckH5710 thyself now with excellencyH1363 and dignity;H1347 And arrayH3847 thyself with honorH1935 and majesty.H1926
Pour forthH6327 the overflowingsH5678 of thine anger;H639 And look uponH7200 every one that is proud, and abaseH8213 him.
LookH7200 on every one that is proud,H1343 [and] bring him low;H3665 And tread downH1915 the wickedH7563 where they stand.
HideH2934 them in the dustH6083 together;H3162 BindH2280 their facesH6440 in the hiddenH2934 [place].
Then will I also confessH3034 of thee That thine own right handH3225 can saveH3467 thee.
Behold now, behemoth,H930 which I madeH6213 as well as thee; He eatethH398 grassH2682 as an ox.H1241
Lo now, his strengthH3581 is in his loins,H4975 And his forceH202 is in the musclesH8306 of his belly.H990
He movethH2654 his tailH2180 like a cedar:H730 The sinewsH1517 of his thighsH6344 are knit together.H8276
His bonesH6106 are [as] tubesH650 of brass;H5154 His limbsH1634 are like barsH4300 of iron.H1270
He is the chiefH7225 of the waysH1870 of God:H410 He [only] that madeH5066 him givethH5066 him his sword.H2719
Surely the mountainsH2022 bring him forthH5375 food,H944 Where all the beastsH2416 of the fieldH7704 do play.H7832
He liethH7901 under the lotus-trees,H6628 In the covertH5643 of the reed,H7070 and the fen.H1207
The lotus-treesH6628 coverH5526 him with their shade;H6752 The willowsH6155 of the brookH5158 compass him about.H5437
Behold, if a riverH5104 overflow,H2648 he tremblethH982 not; He is confident, though a JordanH3383 swellH1518 even to his mouth.H6310
Shall any takeH3947 him when he is on the watch,H5869 Or pierce throughH5344 his noseH639 with a snareH4170?
