And the generation^H1755 to come,^H314 your children^H1121 that shall rise up^H6965 after^H310 you, and the foreigner^H5237 that shall come^H935 from a far^H7350 land,^H776 shall say,^H559 when they see^H7200 the plagues^H4347 of that land,^H776 and the sicknesses^H8463 wherewith Jehovah^H3068 hath made^H2470 it sick;

And though this house^H1004 is so high,^H5945 yet shall every one that passeth^H5674 by it be astonished,^H8074 and shall hiss;^H8319 and they shall say,^H559 Why hath Jehovah^H3068 done^H6213 thus unto this land,^H776 and to this house?^H1004

This is the word^H1697 that Jehovah^H3068 hath spoken^H1696 concerning him: The virgin^H1330 daughter^H1323 of Zion^H6726 hath despised^H959 thee and laughed thee to scorn;^H3932 the daughter^H1323 of Jerusalem^H3389 hath shaken^H5128 her head^H7218 at thee.^H310

For [God] shall hurl^H7993 at him, and not spare:^H2550 He would fain^H1272 flee^H1272 out of his hand.^H3027

Thou makest^H7760 us a byword^H4912 among the nations,^H1471 A shaking^H4493 of the head^H7218 among the peoples.^H3816

Beautiful^H3303 in elevation,^H5131 the joy^H4885 of the whole earth,^H776 Is mount^H2022 Zion,^H6726 [on] the sides^H3411 of the north,^H6828 The city^H7151 of the great^H7227 King.^H4428

Out of Zion,^H6726 the perfection^H4359 of beauty,^H3308 God^H430 hath shined^H3313 forth.

Our holy^H6944 and our beautiful^H8597 house,^H1004 where our fathers^H1 praised^H1984 thee, is burned^H8316 with fire;^H784 and all our pleasant places^H4261 are laid waste.^H2723

And I will make^H7760 this city^H5892 an astonishment,^H8047 and a hissing;^H8322 every one that passeth^H5674 thereby shall be astonished^H8074 and hiss^H8319 because of all the plagues^H4347 thereof.

[ to wit], Jerusalem,^H3389 and the cities^H5892 of Judah,^H3063 and the kings^H4428 thereof, and the princes^H8269 thereof, to make^H5414 them a desolation,^H2723 an astonishment,^H8047 a hissing,^H8322 and a curse,^H7045 as it is this day;^H3117

And I will pursue^H7291 after them^H310 with the sword,^H2719 with the famine,^H7458 and with the pestilence,^H1698 and will deliver^H5414 them to be tossed^H2189 to and fro among all the kingdoms^H4467 of the earth,^H776 to be an execration,^H423 and an astonishment,^H8047 and a hissing,^H8322 and a reproach,^H2781 among all the nations^H1471 whither I have driven^H5080 them;

Jerusalem^H3389 hath grievously^H2399 sinned;^H2398 therefore she is become^H5206 as an unclean thing; All that honored^H3513 her despise^H2107 her, because they have seen^H7200 her nakedness:^H6172 Yea, she sigheth,^H584 and turneth^H7725 backward.^H268

All thine enemies^H341 have opened^H6475 their mouth^H6310 wide against thee; They hiss^H8319 and gnash^H2786 the teeth;^H8127 they say,^H559 We have swallowed her up;^H1104 Certainly^H389 this is the day^H3117 that we looked for;^H6960 we have found,^H4672 we have seen^H7200 it.

Thus wast thou decked^H5710 with gold^H2091 and silver;^H3701 and thy raiment^H4403 was of fine linen,^H8336 and silk,^H4897 and broidered work;^H7553 thou didst eat^H398 fine flour,^H5560 and honey,^H1706 and oil;^H8081 and thou wast exceeding^H3966 beautiful,^H3302 and thou didst prosper^H6743 unto royal estate.^H4410

Thus saith^H559 the Lord^H136 Jehovah:^H3069 Thou shalt drink^H8354 of thy sister's^H269 cup,^H3563 which is deep^H6013 and large;^H7342 thou shalt be laughed to scorn^H6712 and had in derision;^H3933 it containeth^H3557 much.^H4767

O Lord,^H136 according to all thy righteousness,^H6666 let thine anger^H639 and thy wrath,^H2534 I pray thee, be turned away^H7725 from thy city^H5892 Jerusalem,^H3389 thy holy^H6944 mountain;^H2022 because for our sins,^H2399 and for the iniquities^H5771 of our fathers,^H1 Jerusalem^H3389 and thy people^H5971 are become a reproach^H2781 to all that are round about^H5439 us.

There is no assuaging^H3545 of thy hurt:^H7667 thy wound^H4347 is grievous:^H2470 all that hear^H8085 the report^H8088 of thee clap^H8628 their hands^H3709 over thee; for upon whom hath not thy wickedness^H7451 passed^H5674 continually?^H8548

And^G1161 they that passed by^G3899 railed^G987 on him,^G846 wagging^G2795 their^G846 heads,^G2776
