If ye say,^H559 How we will persecute^H7291 him! And that the root^H8328 of the matter^H1697 is found^H4672 in me;

The words^H1697 of his mouth^H6310 are iniquity^H205 and deceit:^H4820 He hath ceased^H2308 to be wise^H7919 [and] to do good.^H3190

The wicked^H7563 desireth^H2530 the net^H4685 of evil^H7451 men; But the root^H8328 of the righteous^H6662 yieldeth^H5414 [fruit].

Blessed^G3107 are they that have been persecuted^G1377 for^G3754 righteousness'^G1343 sake:^G1752 for^G3754 theirs^G846 is^G2076 the kingdom^G932 of heaven.^G3772

And^G2532 every^G3956 one that heareth^G191 these^G5128 words^G3056 of mine,^G3450 and^G2532 doeth^G4160 them^G846 not,^G3361 shall be likened^G3666 unto a^G435 foolish^G3474 man,^G435 who^G3748 built^G3618 his^G846 house^G3614 upon^G1909 the sand:^G285

He that loveth^G5368 father^G3962 or^G2228 mother^G3384 more than^G5228 me^G1691 is^G2076 not^G3756 worthy^G514 of me;^G3450 and^G2532 he that loveth^G5368 son^G5207 or^G2228 daughter^G2364 more than^G5228 me^G1691 is^G2076 not^G3756 worthy^G514 of me.^G3450

and^G1161 when the sun^G2246 was risen,^G393 they were scorched;^G2739 and^G2532 because^G1223 they had^G2192 no^G3361 root,^G4491 they withered away.^G3583

Then^G5119 said^G2036 Jesus^G2424 unto^G3101 his^G846 disciples,^G3101 If^G1487 any^G5100 man would^G2309 come^G2064 after^G3694 me,^G3450 let him deny^G533 himself,^G1438 and^G2532 take up^G142 his^G846 cross,^G4716 and^G2532 follow^G190 me.^G3427

But^G1161 he that endureth^G5278 to^G1519 the end,^G5056 the same^G3778 shall be saved.^G4982

Jesus^G2424 answered^G611 them^G846 and^G2532 said,^G2036 Verily,^G281 verily,^G281 I say^G3004 unto you,^G5213 Ye seek^G2212 me,^G3165 not^G3756 because^G3754 ye saw^G1492 signs,^G4592 but^G235 because^G3754 ye ate^G5315 of^G1537 the loaves,^G740 and^G2532 were filled.^G5526

Jesus^G2424 answered^G611 them,^G846 Did^G1586 not^G3756 I^G1473 choose^G1586 you^G5209 the twelve,^G1427 and^G2532 one^G1520 of^G1537 you^G5216 is^G2076 a devil?^G1228

I^G1473 am^G1510 the vine,^G288 ye^G5210 are the branches:^G2814 He that abideth^G3306 in^G1722 me,^G1698 and I^G2504 in^G1722 him,^G846 the same^G3778 beareth^G5342 much^G4183 fruit:^G2590 for^G3754 apart^G5565 from me^{G1700 G3756} ye can^G1410 do^G4160 nothing.^G3762

to them^G3588 that by^G2596 patience^G5281 in ^G18 well-doing^G2041 seek for^G2212 glory^G1391 and^G2532 honor^G5092 and^G2532 incorruption,^G861 eternal^G166 life:^G2222

As many as^G3745 desire^G2309 to make a fair show^G2146 in^G1722 the flesh,^G4561 they^G3778 compel^G315 you^G5209 to be circumcised;^G4059 only^G3440 that^G2443 they may^G3361 not be persecuted^G1377 for the cross^G4716 of Christ.^G5547

that^G3588 Christ^G5547 may dwell^G2730 in^G1722 your^G5216 hearts^G2588 through^G1223 faith;^G4102 to the end that ye, being rooted^G4492 and^G2532 grounded^G2311 in^G1722 love,^G26

This^G5124 thou knowest,^G1492 that^G3754 all^G3956 that are^G3588 in^G1722 Asia^G773 turned away from^G654 me;^G3165 of whom^G3739 are^G2076 Phygelus^G5436 and^G2532 Hermogenes.^G2061

Cast^G577 not^G3361 away^G577 therefore^G3767 your^G5216 boldness,^G3954 which^G3748 hath^G2192 great^G3173 recompense of reward.^G3405

For^G1063 if^G5225 these things^G5023 are^G5225 yours^G5213 and^G2532 abound,^G4121 they make^G2525 you^G5213 to be not^G3756 idle^G692 nor^G3761 unfruitful^G175 unto the knowledge^G1922 of^G2962 our^G2257 Lord^G2962 Jesus^G2424 Christ.^G5547

I know^G1492 where^G4226 thou dwellest,^G2730 [even] where^G3699 Satan's^G4567 throne^G2362 is; and^G2532 thou holdest fast^G2902 my^G3450 name,^G3686 and^G2532 didst^G720 not^G3756 deny^G720 my^G3450 faith,^G4102 even^G2532 in^G1722 the days^{G2250 G1722} of^G3739 Antipas^G493 my^G3450 witness,^G3144 my^G3450 faithful^G4103 one, who^G3739 was killed^G615 among^G3844 you,^G5213 where^G3699 Satan^G4567 dwelleth.^G2730
