Then^G5119 the chief captain^G5506 came near,^G1448 and laid hold^G1949 on him,^G846 and^G2532 commanded^G2753 him to be bound^G1210 with two^G1417 chains;^G254 and^G2532 inquired^G4441 who^{G5101 G302} he was,^G1498 and^G2532 what^G5101 he had^G2076 done.^G4160

beareth^G4722 all things,^G3956 believeth^G4100 all things,^G3956 hopeth^G1679 all things,^G3956 endureth^G5278 all things.^G3956

the one^G3588 [do it] of^G1537 love,^G26 knowing^G1492 that^G3754 I am set^G2749 for^G1519 the defence^G627 of the gospel;^G2098

withal^G260 praying^G4336 for^G4012 us^G2257 also,^G2532 that^G2443 God^G2316 may open^G455 unto us^G2254 a door^G2374 for the word,^G3056 to speak^G2980 the mystery^G3466 of Christ,^G5547 for^G1223 which^G3739 I am^G1210 also^G2532 in bonds;^G1210

We give thanks^G2168 to God^G2316 always^G3842 for^G4012 you^G5216 all,^G3956 making^G4160 mention^G3417 [of you]^G5216 in^G1909 our^G2257 prayers;^G4335

Be^G1870 not^G3361 ashamed therefore^G3767 of^G1870 the testimony^G3142 of our^G2257 Lord,^G2962 nor^G3366 of me^G1691 his^G846 prisoner:^G1198 but^G235 suffer hardship^G4777 with the gospel^G2098 according to^G2596 the power^G1411 of God;^G2316

Wherefore,^G3606 holy^G40 brethren,^G80 partakers^G3353 of a heavenly^G2032 calling,^G2821 consider^G2657 the Apostle^G652 and^G2532 High Priest^G749 of^G3671 our^G2257 confession,^G3671 [even] Jesus;^G2424

partly,^G3303 being made a gazingstock^G2301 both^G5037 by reproaches^G3680 and^G1161 afflictions;^G2347 and^G2532 partly,^G5124 becoming^G1096 partakers^G2844 with them that were^G390 so^G3779 used.^G390

The elders^{G4245 G3588} among^G1722 you^G5213 I exhort,^G3870 who^G3588 am a fellow-elder,^G4850 and^G2532 a witness^G3144 of the sufferings^G3804 of Christ,^G5547 who am also^G2532 a partaker^G2844 of the glory^G1391 that shall^G3195 be revealed:^G601

We^G2249 know^G1492 that^G3754 we have passed^G3327 out^G1537 of death^G2288 into^G1519 life,^G2222 because^G3754 we love^G25 the brethren.^G80 He that loveth^G25 not^{G3361 G80} abideth^G3306 in^G1722 death.^G2288
