Moreover thou shalt provide^H2372 out of all the people^H5971 able^H2428 men,^H582 such as fear^H3373 God,^H430 men^H582 of truth,^H571 hating^H8130 unjust gain;^H1215 and place^H7760 such over them, to be rulers^H8269 of thousands,^H505 rulers^H8269 of hundreds,^H3967 rulers^H8269 of fifties,^H2572 and rulers^H8269 of tens:^H6235

And thou shalt not bring^H935 an abomination^H8441 into thy house,^H1004 and become a devoted thing^H2764 like unto it: thou shalt utterly^H8262 detest^H8262 it, and thou shalt utterly^H8581 abhor^H8581 it; for it is a devoted thing.^H2764

But as for you, only^H7535 keep^H8104 yourselves from the devoted thing,^H2764 lest when ye have devoted^H2763 it, ye take^H3947 of the devoted thing;^H2764 so would ye make^H7760 the camp^H4264 of Israel^H3478 accursed,^H2764 and trouble^H5916 it.

And Joshua,^H3091 and all Israel^H3478 with him, took^H3947 Achan^H5912 the son^H1121 of Zerah,^H2226 and the silver,^H3701 and the mantle,^H155 and the wedge^H3956 of gold,^H2091 and his sons,^H1121 and his daughters,^H1323 and his oxen,^H7794 and his asses,^H2543 and his sheep,^H6629 and his tent,^H168 and all that he had: and they brought^H5927 them up unto the valley^H6010 of Achor.^H5911

And his sons^H1121 walked^H1980 not in his ways,^H1870 but turned aside^H5186 after^H310 lucre,^H1215 and took^H3947 bribes,^H7810 and perverted^H5186 justice.^H4941

The leprosy^H6883 therefore of Naaman^H5283 shall cleave^H1692 unto thee, and unto thy seed^H2233 for ever.^H5769 And he went out^H3318 from his presence^H6440 a leper^H6879 [as white] as snow.^H7950

So are the ways^H734 of every one that is greedy^H1214 of gain;^H1215 It taketh away^H3947 the life^H5315 of the owners^H1167 thereof.

He that troubleth^H5916 his own house^H1004 shall inherit^H5157 the wind;^H7307 And the foolish^H191 shall be servant^H5650 to the wise^H2450 of heart.^H3820

The prince^H5057 that lacketh^H2638 understanding^H8394 is also a great^H7227 oppressor;^H4642 [But] he that hateth^H8130 covetousness^H1215 shall prolong^H748 his days.^H3117

Woe^H1945 unto them that join^H5060 house^H1004 to house,^H1004 that lay^H7126 field^H7704 to field,^H7704 till there be no^H657 room,^H4725 and ye be made to dwell^H3427 alone in the midst^H7130 of the land!^H776

He that walketh^H1980 righteously,^H6666 and speaketh^H1696 uprightly;^H4339 he that despiseth^H3988 the gain^H1215 of oppressions,^H4642 that shaketh^H5287 his hands^H3709 from taking^H8551 a bribe,^H7810 that stoppeth^H331 his ears^H241 from hearing^H8085 of blood,^H1818 and shutteth^H6105 his eyes^H5869 from looking^H7200 upon evil:^H7451

Woe^H1945 to him that getteth^H1214 an evil^H7451 gain^H1215 for his house,^H1004 that he may set^H7760 his nest^H7064 on high,^H4791 that he may be delivered^H5337 from the hand^H3709 of evil!^H7451
