Behold, this was the iniquity^H5771 of thy sister^H269 Sodom:^H5467 pride,^H1347 fulness^H7653 of bread,^H3899 and prosperous^H7962 ease^H8252 was in her and in her daughters;^H1323 neither did she strengthen^H2388 the hand^H3027 of the poor^H6041 and needy.^H34

But^G4133 I say^G3004 unto you^G5213 that^G3754 it shall be^G2071 more tolerable^G414 for the land^G1093 of Sodom^G4670 in^G1722 the day^G2250 of judgment,^G2920 than^G2228 for thee.^G4671

And^G1161 that^G1565 servant,^G1401 who knew^G1097 his^G1438 lord's^G2962 will,^G2307 and^G2532 made^G2090 not^G3361 ready, nor^G3366 did^G4160 according to^G4314 his^G846 will,^G2307 shall be beaten^G1194 with many^G4183 stripes;

^G3303 The times^G5550 of ignorance^G52 therefore^G3767 God^G2316 overlooked;^G5237 but^G3588 now^G3568 he commandeth^G3853 men^G444 that they should all^G3956 everywhere^G3837 repent:^G3340

who,^G3748 knowing^G1921 the ordinance^G1345 of God,^G2316 that^G3754 they that^G3754 practise^G4238 such things^G5108 are^G1526 worthy^G514 of death,^G2288 not^G3756 only^G3440 do^G4160 the same,^G846 but^G235 also^G2532 consent^G4909 with them that^G3588 practise them.^G4238

Now^G1161 we know^G1492 that^G3754 what things soever^G3745 the law^G3551 saith,^G3004 it speaketh^G2980 to them that are^G3588 under^G1722 the law;^G3551 that^G2443 every^G3956 mouth^G4750 may be stopped,^G5420 and^G2532 all^G3956 the world^G2889 may be brought^G1096 under the judgment^G5267 of God:^G2316

What^G5101 shall we say^G2046 then?^G3767 Is the law^G3551 sin?^G3361 God forbid.^G1096 Howbeit,^G235 I had^G1097 not^G3756 known^G1097 sin,^G1487 except^G3361 through^G1223 the law:^G3551 for^G1063 I had^G1492 not^G3756 known^G1492 coveting,^G1487 except^G3361 the law^G3551 had said,^G3004 Thou shalt^G1937 not^G3756 covet:^G1937

to them that are without law,^G459 as^G5613 without law,^G459 not^G3361 being^G5607 without law^G459 to God,^G2316 but^G235 under law^G1772 to Christ,^G5547 that^G2443 I might gain^G2770 them that are without law.^G459

yet knowing^G1492 that^G3754 a man^G444 is^G1344 not^G3756 justified^G1344 by^G1537 the works^G2041 of the law^G3551 but^{G1437 G3361} through^G1223 faith^G4102 in^G1519 Jesus^G2424 Christ,^G5547 even^G2532 we^G2249 believed^G4100 on^G1519 Christ^G5547 Jesus,^G2424 that^G2443 we might be justified^G1344 by^G1537 faith^G4102 in Christ,^G5547 and^G2532 not^G3756 by^G1537 the works^G2041 of the law:^G3551 because by^G1360 the works^G2041 of^G1537 the law^G3551 shall^G1344 no^G3756 flesh^G4561 be justified.^G1344

But^G235 the scriptures^G1124 shut up^G4788 all^G3956 things under^G5259 sin,^G266 that^G2443 the promise^G1860 by^G1537 faith^G4102 in Jesus^G2424 Christ^G5547 might be given^G1325 to them that^G3588 believe.^G4100

And^G2532 I saw^G1492 the dead,^G3498 the great^G3173 and^G2532 the small,^G3398 standing^G2476 before^G1799 the throne;^G2316 and^G2532 books^G975 were opened:^G455 and^G2532 another^G243 book^G975 was opened,^G455 which^G3739 is^G2076 [the book] of life:^G2222 and^G2532 the dead^G3498 were judged^G2919 out of^G1537 the things^G3588 which were written^G1125 in^G1722 the books,^G975 according to^G2596 their^G846 works.^G2041
