In that same day the Lorde made a couenaunt with Abram, saying: vnto thy seede haue I geuen this lande, fro the ryuer of Egypt, euen vnto the great ryuer, the ryuer of Euphrates.
And in the fifteenth day of the seueth moneth, ye shall haue an holy conuocation, and do then no seruile worke, and ye shall kepe a feast vnto the Lorde seuen dayes long.
Thou shalt also obserue the feast of tabernacles, seuen dayes after that thou hast gathered in thy corne & thy wine.
And Solomon raigned ouer all kingdomes from the riuer vnto the lande of the Philistines, euen vnto the border of Egypt: and they brought presentes, and serued Solomon al the dayes of his life.
And Solomon helde that same time an hye feast, and all Israel with him, a verie great congregation, euen from the entring in of Hemath vnto the riuer of Egypt before the Lorde our God seuen dayes, and seuen dayes, euen foureteene dayes.
And there assembled to Hierusalem much people, and there was present a mightie great congregation, to hold the feast of sweete bread in the second moneth.
But behold, I wil rayse vp against you a nation O house of Israel, sayth the Lorde God of hoastes, and they shall afflict you from the entring of Hemath, vnto the riuer of the wildernesse.
The Iewes feaste of tabernacles was at hande.
