The kynges displeasure is lyke the roaryng of a Lion: but his fauour is lyke the deawe vpon the grasse.

Many there be that seke the princes fauour: but euery mans iudgement commeth from the Lorde.

Upon this went Daniel, and desired the king that he woulde geue him leysure, and that he would shewe the king the interpretation.

And immediatlye the kyng sent the hangman, and commaunded his head to be brought in: And he went, and beheaded hym in the pryson,

And Herode was displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: But they came all with one accorde to hym, and made intercession vnto Blastus the kynges chaumberlayne, and desired peace, because their countrey was norisshed by the kyng.
