(And he was thirtie yeare olde, whan he stode before Pharao.) And he departed from Pharao, and wente thorow all the lande of Egipte.

And whan they herde the wordes which Dauid sayde, they tolde them in the presence of Saul, and he caused him be fetched.

Happye are thy people and thy seruauntes, that allwaie stonde before the, and heare thy wy?dome.

These were potmakers, and dwelt amoge plantes and hedges, besyde the kynge in his busynes, and came & dwelt there.

A diliget hande shal beare rule, but the ydle shal be vnder tribute.

yoge spryngaldes with out eny blemish but fayre ad welfauored, instructe in all wisdome, connynge and vnderstodinge: which were able to stonde in the kynges palace, to reade, and to lerne for to speake Caldeish.

Then sayde his lorde vnto hi: wel thou good & faithfull seruaunt, thou hast bene faithfull ouer litle, I wil set the ouer moch: entre thou in to the ioye of thy lorde.

Be not slouthfull in the busynesse that ye haue in hande. Be feruent in the sprete. Applye youre selues vnto the tyme.
