and blessed be thy speach, and blessed be thou, which hast kepte me backe this daye, that I am not come agaynst bloude, to auenge me with myne awne hande.

O Lamuel, geue kinges no wyne, geue kynges & prynces no stronge drynke:

For as they were in the dayes before ye floude (they ate, they dronke, they maried, and were maried, euen vnto the daye yt Noe entred in to the shippe,

But take hede vnto youre selues, that yor hertes be not ouerlade with excesse of eatinge and with dronkennes, and with takinge of thought for lyuynge, and so this daye come vpo you vnawares.
