Therefore Abraham saide vnto his eldest seruant of his house, which had the rule ouer all that he had, Put nowe thine hand vnder my thigh,
Then he said, What meanest thou by all this droue, which I met? Who answered, I haue sent it, that I may finde fauour in the sight of my lorde:
But he refused and said to his masters wife, Beholde, my master knoweth not what he hath in the house with me, but hath committed all that he hath to mine hande.
Thou shalt be ouer mine house, & at thy word shall all my people be armed, onely in the kings throne will I be aboue thee.
(Nowe the childe Samuel profited and grewe, and was in fauour both with the Lord and also with men)
And the King said vnto me, For what thing doest thou require? Then I prayed to the God of heauen,
So shalt thou finde fauour and good vnderstanding in the sight of God and man.
When the wayes of a man please the Lord, he will make also his enemies at peace with him.
Thou seest that a diligent man in his businesse standeth before Kings, and standeth not before the base sort.
Take heede therefore vnto your selues, and to all the flocke, whereof the holy Ghost hath made you Ouerseers, to feede the Church of God, which hee hath purchased with that his owne blood.
