Heare the worde of the Lorde, all ye that tremble at his worde, Your brethren that hated you, and cast you out for my Names sake, said, Let the Lord be glorified: but he shall appeare to your ioy, and they shall be ashamed.

And ye shal be brought to the gouernours and Kings for my sake, in witnes to them, and to the Gentiles.

He that will finde his life, shall lose it: & he that loseth his life for my sake, shal finde it.

Blessed are ye when men hate you, and when they separate you, & reuile you, & put out your name as euill, for the Sonne of mans sake.

Iesus answered, If I honour my selfe, mine honour is nothing worth: it is my Father that honoureth me, whome ye say, that hee is your God.

And now brethren, I know that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your gouernours.

For I will shewe him, howe many things he must suffer for my Names sake.

Therefore when they agreed not among themselues, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, to wit, Well spake the holy Ghost by Esaias the Prophet vnto our fathers,

Which none of the princes of this world hath knowen: for had they knowen it, they would not haue crucified the Lord of glory.

If our Gospell bee then hid, it is hid to them that are lost.

But reioyce, in asmuch as ye are partakers of Christs suffrings, that when his glory shall appeare, ye may be glad and reioyce.

And thou wast burdened, & hast patiece, and for my Names sake hast laboured, & hast not fainted.
