Also Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite Dauids counseller, from his citie Giloh, while he offred sacrifices: & the treason was great: for the people encreased still with Absalom.

And tenne seruants that bare Ioabs armour, compassed about and smote Absalom, and slewe him.

Then there was come thither a wicked man (named Sheba the sonne of Bichri, a man of Iemini) and hee blew the trumpet, and saide, Wee haue no part in Dauid, neither haue we inheritance in the sonne of Ishai: euery man to his tents, O Israel.

Now therefore as ye Lord liueth, who hath established me, & set me on the throne of Dauid my father, who also hath made me an house, as he promised, Adoniiah shall surely die this day.

So the King comanded Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada: who went out & smote him that he dyed; the kingdome was established in the hand of Salomon.

They saide vnto him, Hee will cruelly destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard vnto other husbandmen, which shall deliuer him the fruites in their seasons.

Moreouer, those mine enemies, which would not that I should reigne ouer them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
