But I will harden Pharaohs heart, and multiplie my miracles and my wonders in the lande of Egypt.

Nowe in the first yere of Cyrus King of Persia (that the worde of the Lord, spoken by the mouth of Ieremiah, might be accomplished) the Lorde stirred vp the spirite of Cyrus King of Persia, and hee made a Proclamation thorowe all his Kingdome, and also by writing, saying,
And they kept ye feast of vnleauened bread seuen dayes with ioy: for the Lord had made them glad, & turned the heart of the King of Asshur vnto them, to incourage them in the worke of the house of God, euen the God of Israel.
O Lord, I beseech thee, let thine eare now hearken to the prayer of thy seruant, and to the prayer of thy seruants, who desire to feare thy Name, & I pray thee, cause thy seruant to prosper this day, and giue him fauour in the presence of this man: for I was the Kings butler.
And letters vnto Asaph the keeper of the Kings parke, that hee may giue me timber to buylde the gates of the palace (which apperteined to the house) and for the walles of the citie, and for the house that I shall enter into; the King gaue me according to the good hand of my God vpon me.
Thou brakest vp the fountaine and riuer: thou dryedst vp mightie riuers.
He turned their heart to hate his people, and to deale craftily with his seruants.
The Sea sawe it and fled: Iorden was turned backe.
The preparations of the heart are in man: but the answere of the tongue is of the Lord.
The steps of man are ruled by the Lord: how can a man then vnderstand his owne way?
He saith to the deepe, Be drye and I will drye vp thy floods.
(4:32) And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and according to his will he worketh in the armie of heauen, and in the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, nor say vnto him, What doest thou?
And the third Angel powred out his viall vpon the riuers and fountaines of waters, and they became blood.
