(24:16) The Lord therfore be iudge, and iudge betweene thee and me, and see, & pleade my cause, and deliuer me out of thine hand.
Now for the oppression of the needy, and for the sighes of the poore, I will vp, sayeth the Lord, and will set at libertie him, whom the wicked hath snared.
A Psalme of Dauid. Pleade thou my cause, O Lorde, with them that striue with me: fight thou against them, that fight against me.
Ivdge me, O God, and defend my cause against the vnmercifull people: deliuer mee from the deceitfull and wicked man.
The Lord executeth righteousnes & iudgement to all that are oppressed.
Surely the righteous shal prayse thy Name, and the iust shall dwell in thy presence.
For he that redeemeth them, is mightie: he will defend their cause against thee.
Therefore all they that deuoure thee, shal be deuoured, & all thine enemies euery one shall goe into captiuitie: and they that spoyle thee, shalbe spoyled, and all they that robbe thee, wil I giue to be robbed.
Therefore thus sayth the Lorde, Beholde, I will maintayne thy cause, and take vengeance for thee, and I will drie vp the sea, and drie vp her springes.
Because thou hast spoyled many nations, all the remnant of the people shal spoyle thee, because of mens blood, and for the wrong done in the land, in the citie, and vnto all that dwell therein.
